I’m gearing up for a pretty big blog conference here in a few weeks (okay like 10 days) so I’ve been out running errands. And running errands means not necessarily getting enough to eat. For shame. Thank goodness for Jamba Juice smoothies!
Jamba Juice has some pretty amazing smoothies for both kids and adults that contain a full serving of vegetables and two servings of fruits Added bonuses are they are gluten and dairy free, plus no added sugar. Did you know that only 1 percent of adults and 2 percent of kids meet their target of both fruit and vegetable servings for the day??
So yesterday I headed out to Whole Foods to grab some groceries. Double win is that our location has a Jamba Juice. I figured Quincy and I could get a little refreshment while we shopped. Or so I thought. Jamba Juice was GONE! Ohhh noooos!! Our plans foiled to enjoy a Tropical Harvest™ Smoothie (for me) and a Jamba Kids™ Berry Beet It! Smoothie for her.
The Tropical Harvest™ Smoothie has mangos, peaches, yellow vegetable juice (sweet potato, carrot, butternut squash), passion mango juice, ice – plus it’s only 230 calories!
The Jamba Kids™ Berry Beet It! Smoothie has strawberries, mangos, bananas, mixed berry juice, carrots, beets, broccoli, spinach, kale, lettuce and is 190 calories.
Sadly, we came home without Jamba Juice Smoothies.
Today I tried again (unfortunately without Quincy) when I headed over to University Village. This time I was successful!
In addition to their smoothies, there is also a fabulous kids menu at Jamba Juice that features smoothies made with whole fruit and fruit and veggie juices, and tasty food items full of whole grains and protein. I can’t wait to bring Quincy (and Sebby too!) back to check it out.
After a pretty botched shopping trip (boo hiis) for me I definitely deserved a refreshing smoothie. I checked out the Tropical Harvest™ and was pleasantly surprised. It was quite good and oh so carroty! Yum!
What Jamba Juice Smoothies do you want to try?
Disclosure: I received a gift card to treat myself to a Jamba Juice smoothie because I’m a Moms Meet™ blogger. The opinons here are my own.
