This conversation about After School Snacks and Activity Ideas is sponsored by P&G.
I can’t believe the kids will back to school in less than a month. Soon the summer days of never ending trampoline bouncing, swinging on the swingset or playing hide and seek will be over. While Sebby is used to full day school, I know it’s going to be an adjustment for Quincy, even with her savvy preschool experience. I’m coming up with a few easy go to after school snacks and activities for them when they get off the bus each day.
One of the things I’m trying to help the kids learn is to be more self sufficient and get their own snacks when they can.
Some of our favorite after school snacks:
Cheese & Crackers
Mini Almond Butter Sandwiches
Chips & Salsa
Getting the kids exercise
As long as the fall rains hold off, after snack time, I’m going to push my kids outside as much as possible to burn off energy before it’s time for dinner. But I know eventually the rains will come, and I’m going to need the kids inside without the driving me crazy. Enter the LeapFrog LeapBand. The LeapBand comes pre-loaded with 14 challenges that will get Sebby and Quincy moving with active and imaginative activities like walking like a crab or swimming like a fish. Things they can do inside, and still be active. Quincy loves her LeapBand, not surprising. Sebby is still getting used to his. And Edison? He’s kind of like “Mikey” He pretty much likes everything.
