Finding Your Blogging Conference Fashion

Since 2011, my blogging conference fashion style has always incorporated Dansko shoes. This past weekend was no different, so I have to give a big thank you to Dansko Footwear for sending me a rockin’ pair of sandals to wear this spring.

Finding Your Blogging Conference Style

FInding your blogging conference style depends on a lot of factors. Your personality, the time of year, the location of the conference and even the type of conference.  I can assure you there are probably hundreds of posts written on conference fashion and style.

Some people will tell you to wear what is comfortable. I say wear what you feel comfortable in. Find something that looks great and makes you feel good. So if that’s a favorite sweater and jeans, fantastic. If it’s a pretty dress and your favorite jacket that works too.

I’m a jeans girl. There is no question. But lately I’ve been trying to step up my game a little bit. A friend turned me onto ModCloth last summer and I’ll be the first to tell you I know have a ModCloth dress problem. In all fairness, this dress that I wore in San Diego is CUTE right? Since it was a little chilly I paired it with a cardi  from Target(which of course you really can’t see) and my favorite corduroy jacket from Prana. Also almost hidden from view is a leather crossbody clutch that I just love.

For me though, no great outfit is complete without a kickass pair of shoes. Often, that’s a pair of RED shoes. I bought my first pair of Dansko clogs in 2009. I admit this brand of shoes dominates my footwear collection. I have boots, sandals, clogs, mules, you name it. They are one of the few pairs of shoes that I can slip on and they fit and feel like I’ve been wearing them for years, even if I haven’t.

The latest addition to my show collection is the Felicia Sandal. This versatile sandal features a ankle strap and wedge heel – it’s a perfect pairing to nearly anything – jeans, dresses, shorts… You’d never know I’m rocking a 3 1/2″ heel would you? The contoured cork footbed is crazy comfortable – not unlike the rest of the Dansko shoes I own.

In addition to feeling really great this weekend in a fun dress and fabulous shoes, my friend Danielle from Simmworks Family took these photos of me so I could show them off. Thanks Danielle!

One more thing, I’ll be giving away a pair of Dansko shoes from their spring collection during the Spring Fashionista Giveaway Event, which starts on March 6! There are over 100 participating blogs and lots of amazing FASHION prizes, so you won’t want to miss it!

You look great! I too love Dansko. I got a pair years ago (on a huge clearance) and thought how expensive they were…. but it really isnt the case at all . Danskos are so well made and look great for so long you never can wear them out. They are a wonderful brand!

  3. I absolutely love those shoes. I love the cutaway pattern. May have to get a pair even if I don’t win.

  4. PS: Where are you at? That’s a gorgeous backdrop. 🙂

Dansko makes such pretty shoes and I love your red cut outs the Felicia Sandal by Dansko shoes, I have been to San Diego and you are right it gets cool in evenings especially if you are down by the bay or ocean, but it is beautiful area. Thank you for sharing your love of fashion and shoes with us.

  6. I have been wearing Dansko for years now and love their shoes. I have a pair of clogs I got brand new at a yard sale for yes a dollar. Steal of the day … I even offered the guy more because I knew how much they were worth and he said just take them for the dollar. LOL Oh well. My fav shoes are those clogs.

  7. I am really a jeans and Dansko’s kinda girl with a Bohemian style top and I am good to go. For places that frown on jeans, I wear black yoga pants. Comfort is the main thing for me with some flair and style. I did gain weight with my child and have not shed all of it yet, so… comfort all the way.

  8. Those are a nice pair, I must have overlooked them on their site

  16. I don’t get to go to blogging conferences but sometimes I travel to education conferences. It’s always nice to have travel-worthy clothes to take along!
