I have a nice DLSR camera, but it never gets used. I’ve been reading a lot about Samsung Smart Cameras so last week met up with my bloggy buddy Leanne for some shopping at Walmart in Lynnwood. Leanne and I thought we might strike out at first – the cameras were nowhere to be found at the Walmart in Lynnwood. We hoped we weren’t going to have to go all the way to the Walmart Super Center – and we lucked out when we found the last two smart cameras at the Everett store!
Amazing Features of Samsung Smart Cameras
I am loving the family friendly features of this camera, for starters, with kids it’s so hard to capture them because as soon as they know I have the camera they either RUN or stop what they are doing to say CHEESE. So the long zoom is pretty darn awesome! Check out these two photos. They are both taken from across the yard from our hammock, the second one, I used the long zoom to take a picture of Sebby. I’m really happy with how well it turned out. Other compact cameras would have been grainy had I zoomed in this close!
The Samsung WB200 also has wi-fi capabilities which means I can sync my camera to my smart phone in minutes. I haven’t tried it yet, but I can also upload photos directly to Facebook with a wi-fi connection. That is pretty darn awesome! When Alan and I were playing with it, we also realized we can use my phone as a remote – but it’s more than just a shutter button I can actually look at my cell phone and see what my camera sees! AHHHMAZING! There are so few family photos of us and with this new camera we might just make some happen! Hooray!
The filters and camera settings are pretty good for a compact system camera. I’ve only had it about a week, so I’m just starting to play with it but I’m having some fun!
The possibilities of this camera are endless, and I’m excited to capture everyday moments of my family that I otherwise might have missed!
