Did you know Best Buy has a recycling program?

At long last, I can empty out the box of old remotes, defunct mp3 players, cables and random cell phones. The stash of used up batteries? Those can go too.

But not into the trash.

They can all go to Best Buy as part of their recycling program!

The best part? It’s FREE in all stores in the US and Puerto Rico! How amazing is that?

No matter where you bought it, no matter how old it is, Best Buy will recycle it for you! In fact, they recycle so much that it equals 387 pounds  of electronics for every minute their stores are open! How incredible is that! By recycling your old technology at Best Buy, you keep waste out of the landfills and reused (often for parts)! That’s a real win considering how fast technology is moving and developing. If it’s an old VCR, flip phone or something else, if you bring your electronics to Best Buy, they will responsibly and safely dispose of them.

I don’t know about you, but I’m headed into Best Buy this weekend to get rid of a box full of random stuff! Woohoo! As a bonus, I know that in some cases they even GIVE YOU MONEY for recycling your old phones. Fellow blogger, Rave and Review had that experience! Getting PAID to recycle? Awesome!

Did you know that Best Buy carries a whole line of Energy Star certified products as well? Recycle your old electronics and upgrade to more energy efficient ones. To learn more about our Energy Star certified products, visit this site.

Have you used the recycling program at Best Buy?

If you’ve recycled old electronics at Best Buy, I’d love to hear about your experience!

Dislcosure: I have been compensated in the form of a Best Buy Gift Card and/or received the product/service at a reduced price or for free for sharing this information.
