Do you floss twice a day?

Be honest…

Do you?

What about mouthwash?

Did you know but brushing alone misses the germs in 75% of your mouth! 75%!! Seems like a pretty good reason to incorporate flossing and a therapeutic mouthwash to your daily routine, doesn’t it?

In order to get my son to brush his teeth, we sing a silly song and use a flavored toothpaste. Sometimes it’s a battle and sometimes its not. My daughter is still little enough that we wipe her teeth with a soft cloth, but she’s probably ready for her own toothbrush as well. She’ll get the silly song too. 🙂

My husband and I both use SonicCare Toothbrushes. Both of us have good intentions of flossing daily, but I know it doesn’t happen. And mouthwash? It’s been absent from our bathroom for a few weeks now. Whoops.

A peek into our dental routine.

So we’re taking part in the Listerine Oral Care Challenge to improve our family’s oral care. As a family, we’re going to get into a better routine of brushing, flossing and swishing daily. (Well, except for my daughter, she’s too little to swish still.

The Oral Care Challenge” is for parents and kids (ages 6 and older) to take on this year. To complete the challenge, kids, alongside their parents, have to brush, floss and rinse every day, twice a day for two weeks-a key step in building a strong oral care foundation.

Why don’t you join us? We’ll let you know how we do! First though, I need to go get some mouthwash. 🙂

  1. i am a flossing addict, LOL

  2. I love the idea of doing this as a family! My kids love to brush their teeth though they don’t floss (they are 2 and 3) but it would be good for us to model good hygiene habits before they get to flossing age.

  3. Lisa Weidknecht says:

One time a day here. Twice? Nope.

  4. Eliza Thornton says:

I definitely don’t floss twice a day. Some days I’m lucky if I do it once. I do brush at least once a day. I know that sounds horrible. And every time I brush I use mouthwash. I got 3 bottles for a review once. So I’m good for awhile. lol.

  5. Jayne Townsley says:

Once a day on the flossing and generally once a day on the brushing. It’s at LEAST once a day is what I mean. Don’t want folks thinking I don’t brush at least once! No mouthwash but I will use warm water and sometimes a warm water/peroxide mix.
