Does a Disney movie in the background count as listening to music while blogging?

Still playing catch up here, which means a lot of shorter ramblings today for NaBloPoMo. Without further adieu, here is YESTERDAY’S writing prompt…

Can you listen to music and write? What song did you hear today?

Listening to music while writing is not an issue. Someone talking to me while writing is a whole different story. Then what I am writing turns into some sort of garbled pseudo dictation that makes no sense whatsoever. It’s not pretty.

Typically though, when I am writing, it’s not music in the background. More often than not, it’s a Disney movie (the current favorite is Cars 2) or some other kids show from On Demand (oh thank you On Demand) sometimes if the kids are napping or in bed, it’s the Food Network.

Alas, my iTunes list remains neglected, which really is a shame, I have some great music on there. Perhaps I should make that part of my daily NaBloPoMo writings, listening to my iTunes playlist.

Norah Jones

A neglected album on iTunes...

What do you think?
