End the eczema itchies with Neosporin Essentials.

What do you get when you combine pool chemicals and warm water? Eczema on my elbows and sometimes the tops of my hands.

Without fail.

Which means my week long vacation in Hawaii meant a week or more of itchy elbows and an annoying rash.

But thankfully I got home from my trip and found a little box on my doorstep. (ok I said that for effect, it actually had been brought inside by our house sitter.) Inside the box was some much needed goodies for my itchy elbows from Neosporin. A Neosporin Essentials trial pack was there to save the day, and my skin!

I’m sure you’re familiar with the Neosporin name, it is the #1 Doctor recommended brand of over-the-counter topical antibiotic ointments. In fact, it’s been in my first aid kit for years. It’s a brand I trust. So when it came to treating my itchy skin, I tore open the trial kit without hesitation.

The kit includes: ECZEMA ESSENTIALS™ Daily Moisturizing Cream, MOISTURE ESSENTIALS™ Daily Body Wash and ECZEMA ESSENTIALS™ Anti-Itch Cream. The Neosporin Essentials are conveniently available in a trial pack like the one I received, which is going to be perfect for travel, as well as in full sizes for everyday use. None of these products contain anti-biotics and are all fragrance free.

When I saw the box the night we got back from our trip, I ripped it open and immediately applied the ECZEMA ESSENTIALS™ Daily Moisturizing Cream. By the next morning, my patch of eczema was gone. GONE. **sings praises** Yes! This little tube of miracle goodness cleared up the annoying itch. Now according to the fact sheet I received to help me write this post, that’s likely unusual results, as it’s clinically shown to restore visibly healthier skin in 3 days. My case of eczema wasn’t too horrible either, just annoying. It worked miracles on my elbows too.

With my skin happy and singing praises, I didn’t even try the MOISTURE ESSENTIALS™ Daily Body Wash which is gentle enough to use everyday. It’s soap-free too and contains gentle moisturizers for non-drying cleansing.

Also included in the kit was the ECZEMA ESSENTIALS™ Anti-Itch Cream which I really wished I had with me on our trip. The Anti-Itch Cream contains hydrocortisone, which I’ve used before to help with my flareups. I probably would have nipped the “Hawaii induced eczema” in the bud had I had this in my travel toiletries.

So the verdict? The trial kit is now a permanent addition to my travel bag, and if the eczema flare ups continue (since we’ll be hitting the pool for swim lessons soon) you better believe I’ll be buying the full size bottles!

  1. Oh, eczema is terrible here. I will have to try it. I wonder if it works on “chicken skin” too. Hmmm…
