Frozen fruit bar sandwiches with Fruti: a healthier dessert choice #FreshNFruti #Cbias

We’re trying to make healthier dessert choices so as part of a sponsored post for Collective Bias® I made these easy frozen fruit bar sandwiches using Fruti all natural fruit bars.

We don’t always make the healthiest dessert choices around here. Alan and I need to get better about it, especially so our kids learn to make good choices. I have to admit our go to summer treat is typically ice cream. The thing is, we don’t stop a just a bowl with a scoop or two. We’ll polish off a half gallon in a weekend. Not the healthiest choice, right?

So I started to investigate other choices, like all natural fruit bars. I was recently at a cooking class and we learned to make ice cream sandwiches making sorbet from frozen fruit bars so I figured I’d give it a try.

But not just any frozen fruit bar would do.

I had heard about Fruti and their all natural fruit bars and the fit the bill. Fruti frozen fruit bars are just that. Fruit. No HFCS, non-GMO verified, no extra fruit juices or strange ingredients. Healthy.

Fruiti in cart

One of the bonuses of the Fruti bars is they come in super convenient value packs that I picked up on a recent trip to  Sam’s Club. The Chunks O’ Fruti variety pack has four inner boxes that fit easily in my freezer. If you’ve seen my freezer you know that’s a big deal.

Frozen Fruit Bar Sandwiches

2-3 of your favorite Fruti bars (depending on how many sandwiches you want to make)
1/4-1/2 cup of water
Some of your favorite wafer cookies

Put about 1/4 of water into your blender. Cut your Fruti bars into chunks and add to your blender. Blend, adding more water as needed until you get a thick sorbet. Remove blender and using a spoon spread some of the sorbet on top of one of your wafer cookies. Top with another one.

Viola! You can eat your Fruti Bar Sandwiches as you go, or make a batch, place on a cookie sheet, cover, and freeze for later in the day!

Instant healthy snack with all natural fruit bars! YUM!

Dont worry, the bars by themselves are really tasty. My husband was shocked about how much pineapple was in the Pina Colada bar – and my favorite? The strawberry cream – soooo good!!
