The house I grew up had wall-to-wall carpet. Every single room of the house (yes, even the bathroom and kitchen) had this really plush, expensive dark brown carpet. I remember the day they installed it, thinking with my 11 year old brain, this is the absolute best. I will always have thick carpet in my house! Flash forward almost 30 years and I barely have carpet in my house. Instead I have mainly hardwoods, tile and even some linoleum (don’t judge, it’s a rental). With all these different floor types, I’ve definitely learned how to clean hard floors.
This is just one of the reasons that I need a cleaning system that can tackle multiple floor surfaces. Wrigley seems to get herself in more messes than any other dog I know. She sweet, but neurotic, and leaves evidence of herself everywhere she goes. She hasn’t found a mud puddle that she doesn’t like. Now that I have four different floor types for her to muck up, I need a product that is able to handle them all and I found that in the Shark Sonic Duo.
Back in the day I used a Swifter to clean my hardwood floors. I thought it was the best thing ever and then I discovered a steam mop. And I thought that was the best thing ever. But now, now I’ve discovered the ultimate product to clean my floors. All my floors, including carpet!
The Shark Sonic Duo system is very easy to use. All I had to do was snap the handle into the base, mix the proper concentration of water and cleaning fluid (which is clearly marked on the reusable bottle), insert the bottle and place the mop on the proper cleaning pad and go! What’s really cool about this “mop” is that instead of you doing all the hard labor, it scrubs the floors 1000 times per minute. The machine literally glides across your floors and all you have to do is squirt a little solution here and there. Another great thing is the solution didn’t leave a sticky residue on my floor. The handle is plenty long for my 5′ frame and if you want to see what you’re cleaning up, there are even lights on the base of the machine.
I haven’t tried it on carpet – yet. That will be my next project once Wrigley’s leg heals up and we don’t have to worry about THAT getting on our floors. For now, I’m extremely happy with my new carpet, wood and hard floor cleaning system.
What type of flooring do you have in your home?
