I am being provided an all expenses paid trip to cover specific events. All opinions and experiences are my own
Uke from the new Pixar short, LAVA #InsideOutEvent
Perhaps one of the biggest treats of screening the first 50ish minutes of Inside Out this spring was getting to see Pixar’s latest short, LAVA.

We had a  LAVA themed reception full of tasty treats. Very tasty treats.

Little did we know when we entered the screening room, we were going to get more than a peek at LAVA.  Producer James Ford Murphy shared with us his love for the Hawaiian Islands and also the ukulele.

Murphy not only told us the inspiration behind LAVA, and then he also played his ukulele for us.  Total treat, I’m telling you.

“LAVA” is nothing short of a musical love story between Uku and Lele, and if you’ve been to the Hawaiian Islands, I think it will speak to you that much more. Inspired by the isolated beauty of tropical islands and the explosive allure of ocean volcanoes, takes place over millions of years.

From Pixar Animation Studios, director James Ford Murphy and producer Andrea Warren, “LAVA” opens in theaters on June 19, 2015, in front of “Inside Out.”

You won’t want to miss this short. Or Inside Out for the matter. Go for LAVA, stay for Inside Out. 😉 Remember, I lava you!

Don’t miss LAVA or Inside Out. Both come to the silver screen on June 19, 2015.
