Kidoodle.TV - Child Safe TV Shows

My kids like to watch tv. and while there are a lot of child safe TV shows out there, I hate the commercials. I’m not just talking about the ones selling toys but the PG-13 movie trailers for the R rated films that have no business being in the middle of family programming. I also want to give them the ability to make their own viewing choices without being their remote monkey.

I need to help them making the right choices of child safe tv shows. You Tube is not the answer – even with the rating guides in place. So now what.

Introducing Kidoodle.TV , my answer to child safe TV shows.

Kidoodle.TV is a kid friendly, commercial free platform where a parent can create up to 5 child profiles for kids 12 and under, select age appropriate content – and even fine tune it for their likes and dislikes. There’s even a timer setting to control how long a child can watch!

All I had to do was log into Kidoodle.TV, choose a child profile and hand over my iPad. Now, I say MY iPad because sadly, Kidoodle.TV doesn’t work on the iPad 1. That’s probably one of my biggest disappointments as I know I am not the only parent that has given their child an iPad 1 to use. The other thing that bothered me is that I could choose “Pinkie Pie” as an avatar for Quincy’s profile, and I expect to then see her favorite show as a choice, and it’s just not there! No My Little Pony! Total bummer! That aside, Kidoodle.TV is easy to use as a parent or a child.

Once Quincy (or Sebby) is logged in to their profile, they can watch ad-free child safe tv shows of their choosing. They can’t exit the app to do other things, nor can they keep watching once the time is up. That’s probably my favorite part. Especially since they are on MY iPad!
