New babies bring new traditions #GrowWithMeNG

This is a sponsored post.

Edison came home just in time for Easter and to celebrate spring with his big brother and sister. Easter weekend was full of warm weather, sunshine, and outdoor fun for his older siblings.

New traditions

For as scattered brained as I am (no really) I am big on simple traditions. I do special jammies at Christmas, and with Edison’s arrival for Spring, decided that Easter was a great excuse for special jammies.  I also figure that I probably only have another year or two of picking out silly jammies for Sebby to wear, at some point he’s going to be too cool for school and the idea of bunny jammies might cause some serious eye rolling.

In a perfect world I’d hide plastic eggs in the yard, serve oven baked french toast and fresh squeezed orange juice to celebrate Easter. But I’m a realist, and I know that festive jammies are about as close as I can get. But you know what I love about them? They keep the celebration going.

Dressing the kids

One of the biggest things I struggle with for kids clothes is the cute vs cool factor. When you’re buying for three kids, newborn to 5 years it’s not easy. First, I only want to go to ONE PLACE. Do you know how hard it is to get myself out the door, let alone THREE kids. Yeah right, not going to happen. I usually resort to online shopping for brands I’m familiar with. It’s just easier. I’ve been given individual items from Gymboree as gifts, but I’ve never really SHOPPED there. I cautiously went online and browsed around. I was pleasantly surprised. Fun patterns, great designs, true kid clothing that could be played in and of course BUNNY PAJAMAS!!!!!!! I also found some adorable outfits for Sebby, Quincy and Edison in addition to the BUNNY PAJAMAS so I of course had to get them.

I’m seriously loving the play clothes I got for the kids too, even though Edison still needs to grow into his. It’s obvious the kids love them too. We spent the weekend out in the sun and they played HARD in them. And the clothes? Washed beautifully and you’d never know they spent a day in the sun (and dirt). What’s not to love?

And the jammies? The kids love their bunny pajamas so much they wore them for almost a week (don’t worry, I washed them) and Sebby actually got angry with me when he couldn’t wear them one night. Kids are funny, aren’t they?

Grow with Me and Gymboree

One of the things I mentioned is that I can buy clothing for all of my kids at Gymboree. This means that they can truly grow with the companies adorable fashions for several years to come. We’re going to start another new tradition of measuring how big the kids are getting through out the year and on birthdays. My dear husband told me he’d make them a growth chart so we’ll see if that happens!

I want to point out too, in addition to being able to dress all my kids from day through bedtime with Gymboree adorableness, I was pleasantly surprised to see a few preemie sizes when I stopped by my local store to buy Edison a smaller sleeper than the one I originally ordered. Love that. Preemie clothing that was cute was so hard to find.

As a Noise Girl I am excited to be working with  the Grow With Me and Gymboree program! Make sure you check out your local Gymboree store, or if you’re like me and shopping for three kids, you can check them out online. Don’t forget to visit them on Facebook and Twitter!

What sort of traditions do you have with your family?

Disclosure: I received a Gymboree gift card to purchase clothing in exchange for this post. All opinions and experiences are my own.

  1. I had so many cute traditions started when Jas was born, baby #2 messed me up. All traditions went out the door. I just try and always chart their height and after we open presents on Christmas I make a huge batch of pancakes. Yummy. Your children are adorable. I love the pictures of them in their cute Gymboree clothes.

  2. I try to keep traditions for holidays like I did back home – mainly traditions for Christmas and Easter. I love their outfits! Q’s play time outfit is absolutely adorable!!!

  3. I’m starting some new traditions next year. I think brunch out sounds like a good tradition to start!
