Holiday Gift Guide Picks – For the Baby!
NEW YORK, November 3, 2011—Tommee Tippee®, the number-one brand of infant and toddler feeding products in Great Britain, today announced the North American introduction of the award-winning Closer to Nature® Digital Video and DECT Digital Audio Sensor Pad Baby Monitors. While many popular baby monitors require parents to keep an eye, or ear, on the device, the intuitively designed Closer to Nature line features the exclusive sensi-sleep™ pad that sits under the crib mattress and detects even the slightest newborn movement, alerting parent if baby hasn’t moved in 20 seconds and bringing parents closer to baby. In addition, the monitors, with their ultra-clear sound and crisp, color video, serve as virtual guardians, providing parents with the reassurance they need to get much needed sleep for themselves.
“We support parents and baby’s needs at important ages and developmental stages,” said Brenda Liistro, General Manager of Mayborn USA. “Our exclusive sensi-sleep™ pad technology means parents’ eyes and ears don’t have to be on the monitor to feel close to newborn baby; something that regular video and audio monitors simply can’t provide. Plus our digital audio and video monitors are designed to grow with baby.”
The Closer to Nature Digital Video monitor is equipped with digital 2.4GHz, FHSS (Frequency-Hopping Spread Spectrum) technology that constantly changes the monitor’s channel to ensure a family’s privacy and prevent interference. The DECT (Digitally Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications) audio monitor provides interference-free secure connection. The auto channel select function automatically selects the clearest audio channel for uninterrupted reception.
Both monitors also have a range of up to 1,000 feet and an out-of-range signal indicator, allowing parents to keep close to baby, even from afar. Additional features include easy-to-read LCD displays, baby room temperature displays and a talk-back feature so parents can soothe baby or talk to each other from different rooms in the home. As the baby grows, parents can remove the sensor pad and use the video or audio capabilities alone to keep an eye, or ear, on a more mobile baby. And when a monitoring unit goes missing, it can be located with a parent pager on the monitor base.
Also new to North America is the new Closer to Nature sterilant collection that cleans surfaces, feeding accessories and toys quickly and effectively without alcohol, chlorine, fragrance or dyes. The collection includes Antibacterial Hand Soap Mousse and Gels, Surface Spray, Bottle and Feeding Utensil Wash and Pacifier, Nipple, Teether and Toy Wipes, ranging in price from $2.99 to $9.99.
The Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature monitors and sterilant collection are now available exclusively at Babies“R”Us and Toys“R”Us stores in North America.
The Digital Video Monitor is $299.99 MSRP and includes a baby unit with night-vision camera and zoom capability, parent unit with digital video screen and locator function and an under-mattress sensor pad. The DECT audio monitor is $149.99 MSRP and includes a baby unit with LCD display, parent unit with locator function and under-mattress sensor pad.
