I participated in an Ambassador program on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Kohl’s. I received Kohl’s gift cards and sample pieces to facilitate my posts and as a thank you for participating.
On April 4, the exclusive presale for Peter Som’s new collection began. I headed up north, hopeful to snag something adorable for my trip to southern California on April 9th, even though the presale was only online. I returned, defeated – the collection hadn’t arrived in stores yet.
I wanted to find something I could incorporate into my current wardrobe and would work for my trip. When I spotted the eyelet tunic from Peter Som’s St. Barth’s inspired collection I knew I had a winner. The perfect light layer with jeans or capris, or over a dress. Check out the photo of it from the lookbook. I love how summery it is. Love.
I paid for expedited shipping I could wear my new eyelet top in California, but UPS had other ideas, and it was rescheduled the day I left. Nooooo, right? I was so sad. Especially because Peter Som’s vision behind his collection is so inspiring.
When I got home, the shirt was waiting for me, but it’s like 45 degrees and raining in Seattle, so now what? For now, I’ll think I will pair my eyelet top with my favorite cropped khaki capris and my denim jacket. I’m thinking though, that this eyelet top is going to look super cute in the striped romper from the collection, or over one of fabulous maxi dresses I have my eye on.
What I love about Peter Som’s collection is the variety. While some of the pieces are just not my style or practical for me, so many of them can easily be incorporated into my wardrobe. That being said, I’m pretty excited to head back to Kohl’s now that the full collection is available in stores and online and do some serious shopping. I won’t share what I’m getting, because it’s a surprise!
