What’s more fun than going to the movies? Having an excuse to get dressed up for the movies with 24 other bloggers and the rest of Hollywood! I want to thank Disney for asking me to be one of their guests for the Pete’s Dragon Red Carpet Premiere. The evening began with a family friendly pre-party at Hollywood’s historic Roosevelt Hotel.
The Roosevelt Hotel is very old Hollywood – built in 1929 you’d probably recognize it in many movies and television shows. It’s also where we interviewed the lovely Bryce Dallas Howard (in the very same room where they stored all of the Oscars the first year of the Academy Awards!)
Kids of all ages were embraced in Pete’s Dragon activities from making bracelets, to face painting, air brush tattoos and even photo opportunities with Elliot! And of course, delicious eats as well.
Not surprising, the carpet for Pete’s Dragon was actually GREEN, and not red. Because, well, dragons.
I had the opportunity to take a FABULOUS green carpet photo (if I do say so myself) – thank you California sunshine as I made my way into the premiere.
It’s always important to capture the magic of a red carpet premier with friends as well.
Of course, the red carpet is FULL of celebrities. Some of the celebrities in attendance were Tiffani Amber Thiessen, Patton Oswalt, Lou Diamond Phillips, Josh Gad and so many others. They are often there with friends and family so it’s not always polite to interrupt them for a picture. Patton Oswalt and I did have a quick moment to talk about chasing after our kids – and then we took a quick photo!
Tomorrow you’ll get to read my spoiler free review Pete’s Dragon when I share my thoughts. Plus celebrity interviews this week!
