Quincy’s Birthday Picks…

My sweet little Quincy turns 1 on June 28, 2011!  Can you believe it!?! She’s come such a long way considering she started out at 2 pounds 14 ounces!

I decided it would be fun to put together a post of delightful gift ideas for her, from some of our favorite brands out there. Now, Quincy doesn’t expect to necessarily receive all of these things, remember, it’s just birthday fun! I also am not intentionally leaving anyone out, so please don’t feel bad if I didn’t include you!

First off, every little girl needs a sweet party dress. I love the Simone Pleat Dress from petit couture. Look at the detailing! Isn’t it GORGEOUS? I want one in my size too. For something as divine as this, it’s okay if it’s matchy matchy, right?

And of course, with a lovely dress Quincy is all ready for a tea party. Now, when I was a little girl I remember having several tea sets. Some were of the porcelain variety, and I am surprised they survived even one teddy bear picnic. Others were made of cheap plastic. In the 70s and 80s we didn’t know about safe plastics like we do now. I’m happy that I can get her a sweet tea set from green toys and know that not only is it BPA free, but it’s made of recycled plastics. It’s super cute too.

Quincy is not even cruising yet, so I want her to have something that will encourage those first sweet steps but help her along and keep her balanced. The Plan Toys Activity Cart is a fun choice. Not only does it have a storage bag for her Wub and MooMoo bear, but it makes a fun clickety clack sound when she pushes it.

Quincy’s older brother has a Twilight Turtle from Cloud B. Cloud B is one of my very favorite brands. They have a wonderful selection of sleep aid products. Now, I don’t think Sebby is going to give up his turtle, so obviously Quincy needs the PINK Ladybug!

Eventually, Quincy is going to outgrow her infant seat. We have a little while longer yet, since she is well within the limits of her Britax Chaperone, but when it’s time, she’ll upgrade to a Britax Boulevard CS for a little more extended rearfacing. I love Britax seats. They are super easy to install with LATCH and I know that Quincy is protected.

My sweet preemie girl is growing up! But not too fast! Next thing I know, I’ll be car shopping with her! EEEP!
