Ahh the dog days of summer. Cookouts, playdates and mowing the lawn. None of it s quite complete without a glass of iced tea. I love iced tea. I learned to make “real” sweet tea at an early age. After all, my mom was raised in South Carolina. I love it, but to be honest, it’s not practical to just whip up a batch of it, nor do I really need all of the sugar.
When I found out that Lipton (the very same company that makes the bagged teas I make my homemade sweet tea with) made single serving size bottles of brewed ice tea, AND that there was a Sweet Tea, I was pretty happy! I could enjoy one of my favorite beverages and focus more time on my friends and family instead of hand brewing tea.
Pure Leaf teas come in PET plastic bottles that are 100% recyclable, plus their square shape means more fit on a pallet which means lower fuel costs and more efficient shipping. Also, since they aren’t using glass, the loads are lighter too!
One of my favorite things about summer is all the fresh berries- I eat them by the handful, but what is also really refreshing is a handful of raspberries in a glass of iced tea.
It gives the tea this little hint of flavor that I just love. It’s really easy too, I literally drop a small handful of raspberries in my glass before I pour my tea over them.
