This Summer Pizza Party post is sponsored.
I love pizza. It's a delicious and easy meal and perfect for family night or a summer pizza party. DIGIORNO® makes a whole line fantastic oven ready pizzas. Pair it with a caprese salad and you're ready for a party!
The first summer pizza party of the season
It's like a scene out of the old show, Home Improvement. Talking to our neighbor over the fence. The difference is his name isn't Wilson and we can see him. We talk to our neighbor all the time and this weekend we invited him over to enjoy pizza with us and one of my favorite salads.
The Design a Pizza™ Kit is a lot of fun. We popped open the box, put the pizza on the pan and everyone grabbed toppings and started putting them on the pizza.
Even my almost 4 year old daughter joined in on the fun. At some point, I think my husband made a comment about having a plan for the topping placement, and the idea was dismissed as quickly as it was brought up. After all, that's part of the fun, right?
Our pizza-art baked for about 20 minutes and after letting it cool, we were ready to enjoy. It looks delicious doesn't it?
I'll let you in on one of my pizza party secrets too. I cut my pizza into squares. Small squares. Two reasons. One is that when you cut those big slices there never seems to be enough to go around, even when there is.
The other is those little squares are much more manageable and small plate friendly.
I love caprese salad almost as much as I love pizza. It's so fresh tasting and it's super easy to make. It's 4 ingredients, all easy to find at the grocery store when you're picking up your pizza. It's so simple and delicious!
