The Jungle Book as we know is about family, and that family is not always what we traditionally think is.
Defining family something that’s hard for me to put into words. My husband and I live across the country from all of ours. My kids don’t really know their cousins and see their grandparents infrequently. We often rely on our friends to create memories with us.
Here’s a collection of some of our family memories over the last 24 years, putting this together I realized I’m horrible at capturing memories on film. 🙂
You’ve been waiting for this day. The Jungle Book Blu-Ray. This epic adventure takes our animated man-cub, Mowgli, that we all love, and transports to him to a action packed real life world. Seeing “The Jungle Book” live action will take your breath away as it transports you into a beautiful jungle, and the only home Mowgli has ever known.
Seeing The Jungle Book reimagined into a live action film made me reminiscent of my childhood, the special effects and computer animation were just amazing – the story of Mowgli was really brought to life, so you can imagine it was a special treat to be able to sit down and talk with Producer Brigham Taylor and Visual Effect Supervisor Rob Legato and learn some fun facts about The Jungle Book.
Wes Bentley is a Disney dad. He’s been a Disney fan since he was a kid, and was excited to be a part of a movie with them and to do something that his could kids could see while they’re young.
We talked to him about his role as Jack, working with Robert Redford, the lumbering industry and riding on the back of a dragon with Bryce Dallas Howard.
When Oakes Fegley and Oona Laurence aren’t riding dragons, they’re just regular kids. They both took some time to sit down with us after the world premier of Pete’s Dragon and chat about the film, what it was like to audition, their favorite parts and what kinds of things they did when they weren’t filming.
