The Honest Company: eco-friendly, beautiful, effective, and affordable #TheHonestCo

The strive to be eco-friendly

After my oldest son was diagnosed with Autism keeping a more eco-friendly and chemical free home became more important to me. Not using harsh cleaners on our everyday surfaces was really important. Not using disposable diapers full of unpronounceable chemicals (when we weren’t in cloth) became really important, just because we are now really finding out how bad all of these chemicals are.

As of yesterday I was 24 weeks pregnant with my 3rd child. Now, if we are going to follow the pattern of my last pregnancy, I basically have 6 weeks to get my household ready for a new baby, and 8 weeks before I will give birth. Let’s hope history doesn’t repeat itself.

BUT, if it does, I’m glad that The Honest Company exists. From the convenience of my laptop, whether I’m on my couch or in a hospital bed (let’s hope not) I can check out my options with The Honest Company. With 1, 3 and 6 month options, I’m covered for all of my needs.

I love that the Family Essentials bundle not only includes cleaning products, but body products as well. I like that The Honest Company cares about this, because so many bad things are put into body care – and since our skin is our biggest organ we should really be aware of what we put on it. They even have an option to create custom bundles, which is pretty genius. Especially since people have different needs!

The Diaper Bundles smartly include wipes and diapers, and they come in the cutest designs! I can’t get over the prints. There are several to choose from, from boy to girl and some that can be used as gender neutral! So so cute! I’ll be including my sample pack in my hospital bag as a just in case so I have “safe” diapers when 3.0 arrives!

To learn more about how The Honest Company got started and the founders’ passion for what they do, check out this video:

The Honest Company was started by a mom and a dad who, like many modern parents, were increasingly worried about products made with questionable chemical ingredients. But the alternatives they found were often expensive, inaccessible, bland, or ineffective. In response to this clear need for something better, they created The Honest Company to ensure that parents (or anyone for that matter!) could easily find natural and non-toxic eco-friendly products that are beautiful, effective, and affordable. From customized product bundles to diapers and wipes to an ever-expanding line of cleaning and personal care products, you can find everything you need at and have it delivered directly to your front door.
