VTech’s Go! Go! Smart Animals offer fun sibling play! {plus a giveaway}

Thank you to VTech for sending us the VTech Go! Go! Smart Animals™ Tree House Hideaway Playset™ to us and inspiring this post on sibling play! This post contains affiliate links.

Buying kids toys is a struggle. Buying kids toys that they kids will share is another struggle. We started into our journey of VTech’s Go! Go! Smart Animals™ by accident. I’m pretty sure I was letting Quincy pick out something in the toy aisle and of course, as a toddler, Edison wanted something too. We have an explosion of small toddler toys already, so I searched the aisle for something different and spotted the VTech’s Go! Go! Smart Animals™. I loved that I could give him one of the little animals and it would work and entertain him without the playsets, which can be bought separately. Not to mention, it seemed Quincy liked them too, so they would be perfect for sibling play.

You can imagine my delight when VTech offered to send Edison a VTech Go! Go! Smart Animals™ Tree House Hideaway Playset™ Hooray! We get to play with the panda and his animal friends! He even responds to various SmartPoint locations on the playset with different phrases, music or fun sound effects.

While big brother is at school, we get some serious younger sibling play with our Smart Animals and their Tree House.  Super cute and fun. And since I went a little crazy on buying the animals separately, there’s no fighting over them. Unless both Edison AND Quincy want the panda.

One of my favorite things about the Smart Animals is they have little songs where they announce their name and what they like to do. It’s super cute and the kids love it. Plus they all interact on different “SmartPoints” on the tree house. There’s loads of interaction to be had. The treehouse also comes with a shape sorter. Do not ask me what happened to the shapes, I think I can safely blame the cat.

Deets about the VTech Go! Go! Smart Animals™ Tree House Hideaway Playset™

Go! Go! Smart Animals™ Tree House Hideaway Playset™ includes:
The ability to learn about animals, play sing-along songs and more with the included SmartPoint™ panda or other SmartPoint animals (sold separately).
A Tree House Hideaway Playset with five SmartPoint locations and six manipulative features including a shape sorter that can help develop hand/eye coordination.
Unique features such as a crank basket elevator that goes to the top of the playset, a swing for the panda and a slide the panda can ride to the bottom.
Colorful tracks that can be connected to other Go! Go! Smart Animals or Go! Go! Smart Wheels playsets (each sold separately) to encourage children’s creativity.

Things to consider: The VTech Go! Go! Smart Animals™ Tree House Hideaway Playset™ needs assembly before play. Do not do what I did and show Edison the box first. I couldn’t get it put together fast enough. It didn’t take too long, but it took too long for an 18 month old.

The playsets are designed to link together, which is totally awesome. It also means the track comes apart easily when said 18 month old picks up the tree house and wants to walk around with it, the track does not stay together. This results in the four year old complaining that “it’s broken” Don’t worry, it’s not, it just doesn’t stay together tightly.

The VTech Go! Go! Smart Animals™ Tree House Hideaway Playset™ is reasonably priced at $29.99 – but the animals are $9.99 – likely because of their cool smart technology. You can see where this adds up.

However, for me, the value of the sibling play, motor and language development not to mention just plain fun outweighs dealing with the track. 🙂 I kinda think we need the Zoo Explorers set now too. 🙂 Someone please tell Santa.
