The summer is half way over, and there’s still lots of summer fun to be had! When the kids are done with summer camp, and complaining of boredom, here’s 5 ways to have fun this summer.
Make yummy summer mocktails!
Nothing quite like a watermelon mocktail to cool you off on a hot summer day! This is one delicious summer drink the kids can help with too! With temps soaring high, you’ll love it!
Build a fire in your fire pit, and enjoy the ambience and even make some smores!
We love duraflame logs for our campfires. duraflame has fire logs not only for outdoor use, but ones that are food safe too. No need to take the kids camping to tell ghost stories around the campfire or have a gooey marshmallow treat! (Note: Make sure you only prepare food on duraflame® Campfire Roasting Logs)
Have an outdoor movie night!
There are so many great Disney movies out this summer, like Bambi, Beauty and the Beast (live action) and The Lion King (later this summer), why not enjoy 1 or 2 on the silver screen in your own backyard. Watching movies in the backyard as a family is pure summer fun!
Get away for a few days and go somewhere super fun! For us, Disneyland is just a short plane ride away! Since we’re Annual Passholders, it makes it easy to hop on a plane and go when the airfares are in our favor. If you're on the East Coast, consider a visit to Walt Disney World!
Have an arts and crafts day! Kids of all ages will love these Shark Crafts. Pair them with watching some shark videos on YouTube or the Discovery Channel for some educational fun. The kids won’t even know they are learning.
Have a day of epic summer fun! Set up your movie screen AND your campfire, make your watermelon coolers and have a special summer even with your family.
