While I do love a simple bowl of fresh fruit, sometimes just a handful of organic strawberries and blueberries isn’t going to cut it. BORING.

So here’s my challenge. Since we just moved into a new house, things are a bit hairy, And by hairy I mean my oven doesn’t work. This means no cobbler, no puffed pastry no baked goodness. Believe me, I am sad.

Thankfully, the store is really close by so I headed out to pick up some COOL WHIP Whipped Topping. A childhood favorite, I love how easy it is to make an everyday dessert a little more special with COOL WHIP. The added bonus? COOL WHIP was on sale. So I bought two containers. **whistles innocently**

After acquiring my beloved COOL WHIP, I noticed that the bakery had croissants that were on special as well and so was Nutella. Do you see where I am going on this? The new plan? Napoleons made with croissants, and the finishing touch? COOL WHIP. Pretty genius if you ask me. Sure, they’d be tasty all by themselves. But adding COOL WHIP? Well, it just makes it more special.

So Kerri, you ask, just how did you make this dessert? Is it complicated?

    Heck no.
    COOL WHIP

The first thing you want to do is thaw your COOL WHIP. It’s a little to firm straight from the freezer, so be sure your tub is in the refrigerator. Then, use a serrated knife to carefully slice your croissants into 3 slices. I am guessing it helped that my croissants were just the tiniest bit stale. ☺

Spread one of your layers with Nutella, layer on some strawberries and blueberries and then a nice generous dollop of COOL WHIP. Repeat with the second and third layer. THEN, as if there wasn’t enough COOL WHIP goodness, go ahead and put some more on the plate with those stray blueberries and sliced strawberries that didn’t make it into your stack.

See? Easy? Simple? Delicious. I love how COOL WHIP inspires an everyday dessert to be something bigger and more fun. What’s so great about COOL WHIP is you can do this with virtually ANY dessert. I won’t tell anyone if they aren’t homemade. Pies, ice cream, cake. Or, you can do my kid’s favorite which to simply dip things like fruit or cookies into it. COOL WHIP inspires variety.
    COOL WHIP

Honestly, I forgot how much I loved COOL WHIP as a kid, and I think this summer is going to be full of inspiration!
