Ok, so I’ve covered fashion for me, I’ve shared recipe ideas and tips for the first day of school, but what about college kids? Chances are, if you have a son or daughter in college, they might have already gone back to school. So here are some ideas for care packages for college students.
What to include in care packages for college students
Nothing says I love you like a batch of your homemade cookies. Granted, they will be devoured in minutes but they will be appreciated. Worried about keeping them fresh during shipping? Throw a slice of bread in with them. It sounds bizarre but it works. Don’t have a recipe? Check this one for Oatmeal Butterscotch Chocolate Chip Cookies from my friend Danielle at Simmworks Family.
Do I even have to explain this one? You do laundry right? You know what happens to socks. Now think about what happens to socks at college. Horrifying.
Whether it’s to iTunes, Starbucks or a grocery store, gift cards are always appreciated by college students (heck, I appreciate them, Mom are you reading this? My Starbucks account is low)
You remember college right? You remember the FOOD in college. Don’t forget to add in old favorites like Tastykake Butterscotch Krimpets or UTZ Potato Chips (ok, so those are MY favorites)
Philips Norelco Click & Style (sponsored)
For your college son, be sure to include the versatile and waterproof Click & Style is a Norelco Razor that’s the first of its kind with three attachments – shaver, beard trimmer, and bodygroomer – that conveniently click on and off eliminating the need for a razor AND clippers. We all know that there’s enough to carry down the hall to the bathroom. Another added bonus? You don’t need shaving cream!
Now, my husband is way past his college days (sorry dear) but the Norelco Click & Style has replaced his old plug in shaver. Whether it’s shaving his head, grooming his beard and keeping things below the neck (ahem) neat and tidy its a real win.
Added bonus? It’s super affordable at $59.95 making it the perfect practical addition to care packages for college students.
Tempting as it may be, it’s best to leave out toasters, coffee pots and hot plates. Many dorms restrict these items to common areas due to fire hazards. Consult your son or daughter’s student handbook to be sure!
What would you include in a care package for college students?
Disclosure: We received a media sample of the Norelco Click & Style to help facilitate this post. All other brand love is unsponsored. I haven’t tried Danielle’s cookies, but I’m pretty sure they are delicious. All other opinions are my own.
