One of my favorite desserts is chocolate. I like it by itself just fine, but I love baking with chocolate too. I've wrapped chocolate and marshmallows in crescent rolls and that was a huge hit in my house, so when Moms Meet asked me to try GATSBY Chocolate, I thought it'd be fun to try a new method and wrap a chocolate bar in puff pastry. This post is sponsored and may contain affiliate links.

GATSBY Chocolate is the first ever low-calorie chocolate. The Almond Dark flavor they sent me to try is vegan and KETO friendly. GATSBY Chocolate has 90% less sugar and 90% less fat than premium chocolate brands too! GATSBY Chocolate can be refrigerated or frozen for your convenience.

The rich flavor of the Almond Dark bar is almost savory to me making it the perfect chocolate for my decadent dessert plans for a chocolate puff pastry roll! It's not too sweet but is still great tasting and dessert like. Scroll to the bottom of this post for the recipe card.

How To Make Chocolate Roll With Puff Pastry Dough

Step 1: Thaw your puff pastry dough over night in the refrigerator.

Step 2: Preheat your oven to 400F degrees. I let my puff pastry sit on the counter when I do this during cooler months as it allows it to be thaw a little more and make it easier to work with.

Step 3: Unfold your sheet of puff pastry on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Step 4: Put a GATSBY chocolate bar on top of unfolded sheet of puff pastry dough.

Step 7: Whisk an egg with a fork and then brush the pastry dough with the egg. You will not use all the egg. (Maybe this is an excuse to make two rolls?)

Step 8: Using a sharp knife, cut the slits in the dough on top. This allows the dough to expand to full volume while baking.

Step 9: Bake at 400F for 20-25 minutes.

Step 10: Let cool for a few minutes before enjoying, the chocolate filling will be hot!
