Korean Ground Beef and Rice Bowls
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 3-4 garlic cloves, minced (I use preminced garlic, about two tbsp)
  • ¼ cup brown sugar, packed
  • ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • ½ teaspoon ground ginger
  • ½ teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
  • 2 cups hot cooked white rice
  • sliced green onions
  • sesame seeds
  1. Cook the ground beef and garlic in a large skillet over medium heat, breaking it into crumbles until no longer pink.
  2. Meanwhile, whisk brown sugar, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, red pepper flakes and pepper in a small bowl.
  3. Pour sauce over the ground beef after it's cooked through and let simmer for another minute or two.
  4. Serve the Korean Ground Beef over hot rice and garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds, and more soy sauce.
