Over the next few months, I’ll be writing a series of posts on the benefits of CVS at Target on behalf of CVS, including the features of the CVS Mobile App. All opinions and experiences are my own.
In addition to the convenience of CVS Pharmacy now at Target, the features of the CVS Mobile App makes saving money and managing your prescriptions easier.
With the CVS Mobile App, customers will have a seamless pharmacy experience at Target stores.
The CVS Mobile App has all of your pharmacy information. I love having the benefit of having all of my pharmacy information at my fingertips, where I can access it easily. It sure beats having to write things down on a notepad and remember to put it in my bag.
Benefits of the CVS app
Benefits of the CVS Mobile App is it will help notify you when prescriptions are ready, and makes it easy to refill prescriptions and check information at a glance, it’s even Apple Watch compatible.
Features of the CVS Mobile App
Drug Interaction Checker: Checks whether a prescription will have any potentially adverse reactions with other medications, including your OTC (over the counter) medications, vitamins and supplements. Coming from someone who had a severe interaction between a supplement and an antibiotic many years ago, I love that this is available.
Helps you identify what a pill is by entering in descriptive information such as shape, color and imprint. This is especially helpful when you have pills that look similar, or are acting as a caregiver to someone else and working with unfamiliar pills.
The scan paper script tool enables customers to quickly and conveniently start the prescription fill process by capturing a photo of your written prescription through the CVS Pharmacy mobile app.
You can also use the app to import prescriptions for refill from your secure medication history, or use the Scan to Refill feature to simply scan a prescription’s barcode and order it in one easy step – so much easier than finding time to call it in.
The CVS Mobile app makes picking up prescriptions for you and your family members easy, no need to give your name or birthday, just have the pharmacist scan your bar code on your app. It’s a great way to keep your private information, private.
Helps you stay on track with medication schedules by enabling you to customize reminders to take your prescriptions and notifications to caregivers when a dose is missed. The MedRemind has been really useful for my daily vitamins in the morning.
How to update insurance on CVS app
Updating insurance information is easy. You can easily share new insurance information with the CVS pharmacist by taking a photo of your insurance card, instantly updating data across the CVS site.
If you have a Minute Clinic at your CVS pharmacy, you will be able to view wait times, hold your place in line and get a text when it’s your turn.
