I have a bad back, so the standard baby-wearing device is not always the best option. Strollers aren’t always the answer either – sometimes it’s just not convenient. Add to the equation a toddler who is just learning to walk and always wants to be up then down then up then down… What’s a mom to do?
I met Anne, inventor of The Hippie during my exploration of the ABC Kids Expo in Las Vegas. She told me about her innovative product “The Hippie” and I just had to check it out. Not only is Anne a Mama like me, but she’s also a Physical Therapist so she knows about back pain complaints.
Anne sent me The Hippie a few weeks ago to try out, and boy did it make my life easier. No sticking my hip out to carry my son around, my arms were not as tired carrying him around. He’s not an infant anymore, but I am pretty sure The Hippie would make carrying that wretched infant seat easier on me too!
The Hippie really is a ingenious and simple design, you just strap it around your waist like a belt and go. If your child wants up, you just pick them up and set them on The Hippie and go about your business. So simple!
If carriers aren’t your thing, or maybe you think you’d have a better chance of dad wearing The Hippie, you should definitely check it out at http://getahippie.com
