I'm a preemie mom. I have a beautiful little girl that was born early, at 32weeks and 3 days due to complications of pre-eclampsia. Despite her small 2 pound 14 ounce size, she came out yelling and screaming at birth. I missed the yells and screams due to a crash cesarean. I'm proud she beat the odds and never needed oxygen to breath.
Since then I've become involved in this amazing community of other preemie moms. Inspiring moms and their friends. And for that I am proud.
and last Saturday, the It's a Preemie Thing team got together to walk for our babies. March for Babies. Our team had a meager goal of $1000. We made $4578 - number #3 in the state.. I am REALLY PROUD of that. My own goal of $1000 was not met, but loving friends, family and a complete stranger came through and I raised $650 for the March of Dimes.
Not too shabby. I can definitely be proud of that.
Next year? Yeah, we're going to be #1.
What are you proud of?
ps.... if you'd like to donate to my team, or me personally, you can through June 1st! Thank you so much for your support!

What a great cause! Fortunately, when I had pre-eclampsia, I was only days from my due date and both the baby and I were fine.
Thanks for sharing!

We've been "marching for babies" here too! Seeing that sweet little face makes all the effort seem worthwhile!
