The other day, I was absentmindedly checking my emails. Scroll scroll pause, skim, scroll… I’d had a hectic morning so I missed it the first time I went through my emails.
The second time I didn’t miss it. This was no early April Fool’s joke.
Wait, what? WHAT?
I’m being invited where? To do what?
Of course the secondary reaction is Doh! Childcare! I exhausted my usual options quickly and began wracking my brain as how to make this all work. I couldn’t miss this trip.
Why? Well, because I’ll be attending an evening at Pixar with footage from INSIDE OUT (opening in theatres on 6/19) and a screening of the short film LAVA. I definitely have voices in my head, so I really relate to INSIDE OUT! Ha!
THEN, how about a press day at Pixar for INSIDE OUT including interviews with Director Pete Docter, Producer Jonas Rivera, animators and a tour of Pixar.
That night I will also screen the upcoming Disneynature film MONKEY KINGDOM (opening in theatres on 4/17)!
My little jaunt to San Francisco is wrapped up with a visit to the The Walt Disney Family Museum!
I had to make this work! And I did! At the 11th hour thanks to a fabulous fabulous early education teacher (so everyone thank your teachers) and my wonderful patient husband, whose birthday happens to be the last day of the trip, April 1. So yeah, I owe him big time!
You can follow me on Twitter and Instagram. I’ll be using hashtags #InsideOutEvent, #MonkeyKingdom, and #Waltagram.
