I am a member of the Collective Bias® Social Fabric® Community. This shop about making a strawberry muddle mocktail has been compensated as part of a social shopper amplification for Collective Bias and its advertiser. I am also participating in a contest as an additional aspect of this campaign. #BrewOverIce #BrewItUp #CollectiveBias Over the winter, our Keurig gets a lot of
abuse use making lattes, hot chocolates and hot teas. When summer rolls around, you'd think our Keurig would sit on the shelf, collecting dust until summer again. Maybe, if Keurig didn't have the best k cup flavors for making cold drinks. And the best part? Walmart has an amazing selection to choose from! I loved all of the choices from the Brew Over Ice line and went a little overboard, as in I bought FOUR flavors to try, including two Vitamin Burst® fruit brews, a tea and a lemonade. Whoops right?
The perfect Father's Day drink
We're due to have a relaxing Father's Day weekend, and what's enjoyable than sitting around the yard drinking a muddled strawberry mocktail? Hubby and I have different tastes so it's nice that we can make one mocktail base and each choose our own Brew Over Ice flavor. Because this girl does not do pomegranate. Just No. What I am really loving is this is an easy drink to enjoy in the backyard. You know, without the kids.
Strawberry Muddle Mocktail
(makes one serving) Muddle Ingredients: 2-3 strawberries, stemmed and halved a few mint leaves a squirt of agave syrup plus: Your favorite Keurig Brew Over Ice Flavor Club Soda Directions: Place your stemmed strawberries and mint leaves in the bottom of your cup and using a muddler, mash them together. Fill your cup with ice on top of the strawberry muddle. Using your Keurig, brew your K-Cup on the smallest (cup) setting for maximum flavor. DO NOT USE GLASS. I picked up some great Aladdin mugs at Walmart that are perfect for these refreshing summer drinks. Once the brewing is complete, top with club soda for a refreshing mocktail that's made just for you!
Grounds to Grow
One of the things I don't love about my Keurig is all the used K-Cups. So many K-Cups. But did you know Keurig now has it’s own recycling program for use with K-Cups? The Grounds To Grow program offers a way for K-Cup users to return used cups for processing that separates grounds for compost and plastics for re-use.
