I'd like to thank the Paramount Hotel Seattle for providing my husband and I a complementary stay to enjoy their Seattle Hotel. This exceptional boutique hotel has locations in Seattle, Portland and Maui. Read on for our Paramount Hotel Seattle review.
Living in Seattle, my husband and I have found we prefer staycations versus traveling out of town when we need some time ourselves. With exceptional hotels like the Paramount Seattle, it makes it easy to enjoy a night away from the kids. It's just a short drive to downtown, but we still feel like get an escape. It's a win! We love love getting away, the bummer of this visit is I wasn't feeling all that great so we didn't venture far from the hotel, but our experience made us decide to stay at the Paramount Seattle for our upcoming wedding anniversary at the end of March!
Welcome to the Paramount Hotel Seattle
Top notch service begins at this downtown Seattle hotel when we were greeted with valet parking. Parking in downtown Seattle is probably one of my least favorite things, so it was nice to have it taken care of for me. The front desk and bell staff were ready to greet us, check us in and answer any questions. We were pleasantly surprised to learn we had been upgraded from our king room to a suite for our overnight stay.
Had I needed help planning a meal reservation or tickets to a show, I could have chatted with their onsite concierge in their welcoming lobby.
Looking for a hotel in downtown Seattle?
I always feel like the best Seattle hotel locations are near great food, good shopping and of course attractions. The Paramount Hotel has all three. After we checked in for our stay, we headed to Pacific Place, an upscale shopping center for some window shopping. Pacific Place has a variety of places to eat, but we had different plans.
While we didn't venture out to the Pike Place Market during our visit, it's a short walk away, as well as the rest of the Seattle Waterfront. It's one of our favorite places in the city, even though we live here.
Adjacent to the lobby of the Paramount Hotel is the Dragonfish Cafe. Dragonfish features extensive, flavorful dishes found throughout the entire East Asian region. We stopped in for happy hour and enjoyed a variety of deliciousness from their menu. As a bonus, Dragonfish also offers American fare for breakfast, including room service for breakfast. Pancakes and mimosas! Yum!
Comfort at the Paramount Hotel
The Cosmopolitan Suite was the ideal getaway for us. We had space to relax and dine without the cramped feeling of the average sized hotel room. We had a cozy window seat that had a view of the Paramount Theater too. I can't tell you how many shows we've seen at the Paramount, but it's never occurred to us to spend the night downtown!
I love a comfortable hotel room but the one thing that always seals the deal for me is an amazing soaking tub. Our tub at home is tiny so I love the chance to soak. Our Cosmopolitan Suite had an incredible soaking tub. I don't want to tell you how many soaks I took, but it was quite a few!
As if the tub wasn't enough, the bed in our suite proved to be one of the most comfortable beds I'd ever slept in. And since I was getting over a cold, my nap game was strong. Without the kids to bother us, we powernapped like kings!
We're looking forward to our next visit to the Paramount Hotel in Seattle, but next time, we'll be staying for two nights and will explore the market!
