In addition to inviting me to be a guest at the Cars 3 Red Carpet premiere, Disney also invited me to be their guest at Disneyland & California Adventure for three fun filled days, including experiencing Summer of Heroes, Cars Land and more!
Summer of Heroes and Guardians of the Galaxy "Mission Breakout" are the newest additions to California Adventure, and it's epic. From a new ride (the remodeled Tower of Terror) to amazing new themed food and merchandise.
If you're a fan of Marvel in any way, shape or form, you need to check out Summer of Heroes in Hollywood Land.
Kids of all ages will want to train and perfect their skills with Black Widow and Hawkeye at the Avengers Training Initiative! Or maybe you will participate in the “Guardians of the Galaxy Awesome Dance Off” with Peter Quill and Gamora - I was lucky enough to. My dancing skills though? Not as good as Groot's.
My Guardians of the Galaxy Mission Breakout Experience
There is no question that Mission Breakout at Summer of Heroes is a thrill ride. It's fast, it's full of jolts and surprises, and as much as love thrill rides and roller coasters, once was enough for this coaster girl! BUT it's worth walking through the queue and checking out all the decor.
One of the cool things about the ride is you have the chance to hear 6 different songs. When we rode, our song was "Give Up The Funk by Parliament" Here's our photo. Can you find me? My eyes are closed. HA!
After recovering from Mission Breakout, there was a dance off to be had and food to enjoy.
Try the Summer of Heroes themed food!
From Groot-shaped bread, available in sourdough and jalapeno-cheddar flavors, or with The Most Dangerous Tacos in the Galaxy the themed food is not to be be missed. You can find Super Hero-inspired food and beverages at six different locations in the Hollywood Land area of the park, including Schmoozies, Award Wieners and Market Place. New locations include the Cosmic Canteen and Knowhere Eats.

For me, no trip to California Adventure is complete without a visit to Cars Land, and riding on Radiator Springs Racers. It's hands down my favorite ride in both parks - my son has even ridden it 14 times in 4 days!
Both Summer of Heroes and Cars Land are sure to delight both the young and old at heart! Be sure to visit both the next time you're in Anaheim.
Cars 3 is in theaters EVERYWHERE!! Take your family to see it!
