With summer finally hitting Seattle I decided to head to Sam's Club last week to grab some easy to prepare food so we could just enjoy being outside. It was a quick trip, since I had be back to meet my oldest for the bus. It pretty much grab and go as we walked through the aisles. I spied the demo cart out for Tyson Chicken Fries and was intrigued, but no one was there. We finished on shopping and came back in hopes the cart would be manned, but no such luck. Feeling adventurous, I grabbed a bag from the freezer and threw them in my cart.

    I'm glad I did!

One of the challenges I come across with having special needs kids is sometimes they are particular eaters. I don't always have time, nor do I want to cook an entirely separate meal for my kids so I wanted to come up with something using the Tyson Chicken Fries that we could enjoy as a family.

    chicken fry sliders

Avocado Bacon Sliders with Tyson Chicken Fries

    You'll need:

    Tyson's Chicken Fries
Fresh Avocado, Sliced (just pick up a big bag of HAAS while you're at Sam's Club)
Bacon (get it fresh cut from the meat case and prepare in your oven, trust me)
    Slider Buns
    Ranch dressing

Prepare your Tyson Chicken Fries according to package directions. To save time, cook your bacon in the oven at the same time. If you've never made your bacon this way, now is the perfect time to do it. Trust me.

Assemble your Sliders with a few slices avocado, bacon and place your Tyson Chicken Fries (2-3), then drizzle with ranch dressing. Top with the other half of the bun and enjoy!

Now, to satisfy ALL of our little eaters, I also served up some dipping sauces - ranch, bar-b-que and spicy mustard. It was no real extra effort but it meant that everyone would actually eat dinner without me making an extra meal. Score!tyson chicken fries

The verdict? Quincy loved them so much we had to make more!

Sebby? Highly suspect at first but eventually he gave in and had a few as well!

i guess i will eat one

Be sure to visit Tyson on Facebook as they'll be giving away free Six Flags tickets for your family vacation! Woohoo!!

What would you make with your Tyson Chicken Fries?

I would love to try these without the bacon! My husband on the other hand would like extra bacon! These looks easy to make and delicious!

That sounds absolutely heavenly! I am definitely going to have to add this to my "to try" menu! I think hubby would love it and Buggy would too... not sure how Buddy would react. Definitely going to try them!

I have to say, I think I might vote with Mariah's husband on the extra bacon part 😉 And my hubby said maybe some cheddar. Those look super-good, though, and I'll bet even Bubbles would eat them. Adding chicken fries to our next Sam's Club run list 🙂

Looks like such a fun dinner for the whole family -- it's nice to have nights when dinner is easy on mom! 🙂

With lunch approaching, these look incredibly good. I think I'd substitute fresh, grilled chicken for the chicken fries though.
