Alexa has made things easier, from kid’s being stuck on homework questions, to dimming the lights for bedtime.

You can ask her holiday questions, to read a Christmas classic or listen to music in one room or them all. Make sure to check out the different ways to utilize Alexa to help with recipes, having her turn on your Christmas lights, trivia and more. You can even ask her to view your front door camera on your Echo Show to see if it’s the inlaws or Santa knocking! There’s also an Alexa Kids Edition to keep your kids entertained.
Use Alexa to play holiday music
If you’re an Amazon Prime subscriber, Alexa can play a large variety of Christmas tunes if you have an Amazon Music Unlimited or Spotify subscription, there’s a much greater selection of holiday tunes to play.
In addition, Multi-room music allows you to play and control music from Spotify, SiriusXM, and Amazon Music across multiple Echo devices at the same time. Echo Dot is the most popular voice-controlled speaker, and makes a great gift for yourself or someone you know.
Our kids favorite holiday music? “Alexa, Sing Jingle Bells.”
No subscription music subscription? No worries Just enable the Christmas Radio skill and then ask Alexa to play it.
Use Alexa to turn on your Christmas Lights
Using Alexa to control your Christmas lights means you never have to crawl under the tree searching for a plug again. You can either plug any strand of lights into a smart, Alexa-compatible outlet or you can invest in a strand of smart lights like Light Rhapsody (currently $55) Then you can change colors, perform various effects and more without the special outlet because they are Alexa compatible.
