As a parent, it’s those little out of the way errands that can disrupt your whole day. Getting a new Xfinity box so my kids can watch all of the Minions movies ON DEMAND seems like a brilliant idea so I can have some time to yourself on the weekends, but waiting in a long line in a stark service center to do it does not. Who wants to spend an hour doing that?
Comcast is transforming the customer experience
Instead of the DMV experience to upgrade my Xfinity box, I can head to the new Xfinity store in Bellevue, WA. I don’t have to go across town to a service center with a questionable parking lot. I’ll be able to head to Bellevue Square Mall for my Comcast needs AND get my shopping done too. An added bonus is it takes a boring errand into a kid friendly adventure. What’s more fun for kids than a bunch of cool tech to check out?
A welcoming visit
Instead of signing into a greeter desk, the new Bellevue Store is laid out in different zones so I can find exactly what I need, right away, without hassle. Comcast employees are throughout the store to help.
Need a new phone?
When it’s time to upgrade my, iPhone, all of the latest can be found in the Xfinity Mobile display. Don’t worry Android users, you’re covered too. You’ll also find a variety of cases to protect your new phone. You can check out wifi coverage and data plans on provided iPads to check out all of your options. Did you know you can use your X1 voice remote to find your phone within your home with Xfinity mobile? Super helpful!
Entertainment like you’ve never experienced before
When you enter the Xfinity store in Bellevue, you’ll find the X1 Entertainment Zone to your right. You’ll feel right at home in a living room environment where you learn about X1, check out the voice remote (side note, of you say “May the Force Be With You” into your remote, you’ll get more than just a list of movies, try it out!)
You can also check out the extensive On-Demand library (a huge lifesaver in our house) and learn how X1 integrates with Netflix, Pandora and more. You can even sync your Movies Anywhere account to X1 – no more streaming from your iPad to your TV! The Entertainment Zone has a welcome living room feel so you can truly experience it all.
Get recharged!
Phone battery low? The app bar lets you recharge your phone and demo Xfinity apps.
The Connected Home Zone
From locking your doors to seeing what times your kids really did come home, learn about the benefits of home security and connected home services. Use your X1 voice remote to arm and disarm your Xfinity Home security system, and if you say “good night” into your remote, you can automatically lock your doors, turn off the lights, turn down your thermostat and arm your security system. It’s that easy. If you have questions, there’s someone there to help.
With a connected home, you can check on your pets too! You can even check out the not so secret life of your pets. Is someone snoozing where they shouldn’t be? Eating your turkey sandwich accidentally left on the counter? Or just maybe doing something unbelievably cute that will make for the next viral pet video? Did you know that there is a new “pet filter” on the Xfinity camera to help you find those videos that much faster? I know I can’t wait to check out the latest that Nixie and Winston are up to.
Xfinity Internet
Check out all the reasons I love (and you’ll love) xFi in the Internet zone. Check out device usage, control devices (like turning off the Internet at bedtime). xFi lets you pause Internet usage and set parental controls. I can use my X1 remote to see what devices are on my network by saying “show me devices.” Xfinity Internet is so much more than “just Internet” and the true hub of everything Xfinity.
See how it all comes together
Towards the back of the back of the store, is the Integration Zone brings it all together. It’s a great way to learn how all of the Xfinity products work together.
Xfinity for Business
Located in the rear of the store is a quiet area for small business owners to learn about Comcast business.
The core basics
Need to make a quick payment? You’ll find payment kiosks in the back of the store. Drop your old box off at the front of the store while you find your other solutions – you can get the new replacement before you leave.
Wondering why Comcast is making the move to a more retail experience and away from the cold customer service center? They’ve realized we want to experience things first hand, we like to try products out and see how they work. A Comcast retail center becomes a destination, versus a place we drop off our old defunct modem. If you’re in the area, come see what it’s all about and experience Comcast in a new way.
Starting June 7, the Bellevue Xfinity retail store will be open seven days a week – Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
