I’m trying to figure out where March went. We’re in the final days of the college basketball championships. I’m going to confess, when my Alma Mater didn’t even make it in the playoffs, I let things slide a bit. That doesn’t mean I’m not enjoying a game here and there, but it’s not quite the same. Maybe next year.

There’s still hope for your bracket though right? Whether you’re a die hard fan who’s watched as many games as possible, or if you’re just catching them while you can, remember that you can pull up the current standings immediately with the XFINITY SportsApp – it’s the easy way to see if you’re team is still in the playoffs or if there was an upset, you may have to change things up a bit.

You know what else is easy? A fun cocktail to enjoy will you’re toasting that winning 3 point shot. I always prefer cocktails over beer, and this one is sure to be a crowd pleaser.

3 Point Shot Ginger Peach Cocktail

    Ingredients
    1oz premium vodka
    2 oz premium Ginger Ale
    1 oz Peach nectar
    Bitters
    Squeeze of Fresh lemon juice

    Instructions
Prep glasses by squeezing a lemon over them, letting the juices coat the sides.
Combine vodka and peach nectar in a shaker with ice and strain into a glass.
    Top with ginger beer.
Finish with a splash of bitters.

Make this easy and refreshing ginger peach cocktail.

Now that you’ve made your drink, check out some of the pointers Kevin shared with me when he stopped by this week to show me features of the XFINITY Sports App.

It’s pretty crazy everything the app can do. From keeping track of the bracket, to all the stats for the games, to setting your favorite teams (and not just for basketball) – it makes it easy even for the non sports person. Let’s face it, that’s pretty cool. Saving grace for me? Being able to choose my favorite teams, and access to previous scores.

Stay tuned, I have a recipe for BBQ Chicken Wings coming up soon, in time for the Championships! It’s tasty!
